Blue HR works with iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (5th generation), and the new iPad (3rd and 4th generations). The Blue HR sends and receives signals up to 10 feet, and records data even when Bluetooth receiver communication is interrupted, so you don't miss any important metrics. Please note that this device will not work with the iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4.
Upload to Training Sites
Workout data is easily and wirelessly uploaded to popular training websites such as TrainingPeaks, MapMyRUN, Nike+, Garmin Connect or Strava so you can track your fitness over time and share with friends. You can also email your workout data to yourself or your coach.
Ultra Low Energy
The Wahoo Blue HR runs on a replaceable coin cell battery and lasts up to 1 year. Also, it "sleeps" during inactivity to conserve power.
The Wahoo Blue HR is enabled with Bluetooth 4.0 technology, sending and receiving signals up to 10 feet (unobstructed).
Waterproof up to 5 Feet
The Wahoo Blue HR is waterproof up to 5 feet to endure water and sweat, making it an ideal accessory for beach runs, jogs in the rain, and more. It will not, however, transmit data underwater or while swimming.
How It Works
Blue HR setup is super easy. Wrap the strap around your back, and snap the sensor into place. Make sure that the sensor is located on your sternum or just below your breasts, and that the Wahoo Fitness logo is facing up. Download and open the Wahoo Fitness App or one of dozens of compatible Apps. Pair the Blue HR within the App's settings menu. Now you are ready to work out.

To Turn ON Bluetooth: Go to Device Settings and Toggle Bluetooth to ON position
To connect to an App:Pair the sensor directly with the App that you are using. In the Wahoo App, hit SAVE after the sensor is paired. Make sure that you pair the Blue HR in all workout modes (Running, Cycling) of the App. Other apps may connect differently to the Blue HR than the Wahoo Fitness App.
To connect to another App:Turn on the Bluetooth and Put on the Bloue HR. Go into the App's settings and look for "connect to sensor" or similar language. Each App is different but there are some commonalities:
- A heart rate monitor built for Bluetooth Smart (4.0) including the iPhone 4S and newer, iPad (3rd and 4th generations), iPad Mini and select Android devices with Android operating system 4.3 or newer. Please consult the Wahoo website for full details on Android compatible devices
- Wahoo's proprietary Burn and Burst Heart Rate Training Plans make losing weight or getting faster easier than ever
- Works with the most popular running, cycling and fitness Apps such as Runmeter, RunKeeper, Cyclemeter, Strava, MapMyRun, Endomondo, Runtastic, Wahoo Fitness (included) and dozens more
